Day 1: Traveling to the Sipi Falls for a hike
Upon arrival you will meet our Mugenyi eco-Tours representative who will brief you on
the trip. We will then embark on an exhilarating journey to the northern part of Uganda via Kampala City, stopping along the way for breathtaking views. For a thrill-seeking adventure: White water rafting on the Nile is an optional booking for an additional fee of $140.
In the afternoon, we will hike to a nearby village where the majestic Sipi Falls are located. As the day draws to a close, we will indulge in a satisfying meal and relax in the cozy atmosphere of our lodge.
Day 2: Sipi Falls
Immerse yourself in the local culture and journey to Kidepo and start your day with a hearty breakfast before immersing yourself in the vibrant local community. Experience a guided walk through the village, witnessing diverse crops, traditional African lifestyles, and the unique culinary practices of Uganda’s indigenous peoples. Savor a freshly brewed cup of locally grown coffee at a community-run café before embarking on a scenic drive to
Kidepo Valley National Park through the vast plains of Piunupe.
Day 3: Karamoja Encounters & Kidepo Game Drive
After breakfast embark on a thrilling game drive through Kidepo Valley National Park, Uganda’s third largest park. Keep your eyes peeled for the elusive cheetah, a rare sight in Uganda. After a morning of wildlife encounters, enjoy a delicious lunch and immerse yourself in the vibrant Karamoja culture.
Interact with the local people, learn about their way of life, and visit traditional villages. Witness their unique customs, handicrafts, and resilience in the face of challenging conditions. End your day with a relaxing evening at your lodge, reflecting on the incredible experiences you’ve had.
Day 4: Experiencing the Murchison Falls National Park
You shall enjoy your breakfast at the lodge before embarking on a scenic journey to Murchison Falls National Park. En route, consider a visit to a local cattle market (optional). Learn about Uganda’s diverse cattle breeds: Discover the various types of cattle that have been carefully cultivated and raised in our East African nation. Observe
how cattle play a crucial role in the daily lives of Ugandan farmers and herders. Enjoy scenic stops along the way and a delicious lunch en route. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and prepare for your adventure in Uganda’s largest national park, Murchison Falls. Discover the park’s rich biodiversity and stunning landscapes.
Day 5: Game drive and boat cruise
Start your day with an early breakfast before driving with Mugenyi Eco-Tour to the northern part of the park for game viewing. This park, the largest national park in Uganda, is home to a variety of wildlife, including lions and giraffes. After a morning of exploration, enjoy lunch and then embark on an afternoon boat cruise on the Nile, the longest river in Africa. The river supports agriculture, fishing, and transportation. It is crucial for the livelihoods of millions of people living along its banks. You’ll have the opportunity to see a lot of wildlife on the water. End your day with dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 6: Community walks and hiking to the top of the falls
Join us for a day of adventure and culture!
Start your day with a delightful breakfast before we head to the charming Bamboo Village, named for its abundant bamboo groves. This community offers a unique cultural experience where you can see and learn about the various crafts and products made from bamboo. After exploring the village, we shall enjoy a delicious lunch together. Then, get ready for an exhilarating hike to the top of the falls, where the Nile narrows to just 7 meters wide and plunges 45 meters deep. The breathtaking views are sure to leave you in awe. We’ll return to the lodge in the evening.
Day 7: Journey back to Kampala
After our last shared breakfast, we will embark on our journey back to Kampala, a truly vibrant city and full of life and energy! We are
traveling through the scenic route of Masindi and Luwero. Along the way, we shall make several delightful stopovers, including a special pineapple picnic in Luwero. This marks the end of our memorable trip.
